“That’s a GREAT idea!”
“You’re so creative!”
“You make such beautiful things.”
“I could never come up with stuff the way you do!”
Does creativity just happen? Is there a magical train that rolls through town at the crack of dawn, tossing great ideas and artistry straight from its mysteriously glowing freight cars and into the hands of the lucky few?
In fact, there is a train – of sorts. It’s called The Creative Process, and we can all become more “conscious conductors” and creative geniuses as we begin to understand that:
- Creativity is not magic (even though parts of the process can feel magical)
- Our friends and co-workers with great ideas are not uniquely blessed
- There is a process to follow, and work to do
- If we do the work, we can achieve creative success
On this week’s show, Sparked! Creativity from Mystery to Mastery, we’ll take a journey with Susan Bishop of Unlocked Box through the four distinct lands of creative process. We’ll uncover the mundane and the magical aspects that can lead us all to the highest levels of creative mindfulness and mastery. Most importantly, we’ll debunk the myth that creativity “just happens” and only to “some people” as we get ourselves ready to become conscious conductors of our own creative process.
Saturday, January 14th, from 6:07-7:00 pm ET on Talkradio 680 WCBM Baltimore or “Listen Live” online
And, be sure to check out last week’s show when Louise Phipps Senft, Esq., Founder and CEO of Baltimore Mediation joined me to talk about women and leadership.
If you missed my conversation with Louise or you want to share it with a friend, listen here.
