“Wow… you can’t tell me that life isn’t good. It’s about as good as it gets. The cold weather is gone – or I’m counting on that now. Just within the past few days, spring in Vermont has really sprung and I’m sitting out here enjoying very green grass, leaves coming out, bud blossoms on the flowering trees, and stirrings in the flower bed. What’s not to love???
And best of all? That mama fox and her five baby kits who have set up home only about fifteen feet away from where I’m sitting. So, I get to keep an eye on all of their antics and hear what they have to say. Now that they’re out running all over your yard, Ann, they are giggling like children. Did you see what they did to the oranges you left out for the orioles?
And, just a big reminder for you (not that I think I have to remind you about this) – enjoy this marvelous spring show. It has it all – color, sounds, music, smells, babies and play!
And, maybe for your friends who still need some nudging, I love this quote:
It’s so easy to get caught up in our human affairs, in whatever we have to do to make a living, to pay our bills, and forget to just step outdoors and allow ourselves to be defined by nature instead of by other human begins or our own self-images. – Ken Carey
Yep, nature – the perfect tonic for whatever ails you.”
In July 2015, Ann’s sister, Linda, came to visit her in Vermont. It just so happened that Zen Frog showed up on that very day, too. Zen Frog decided to stay and found a perfect guru spot on the deck surrounded by trees, overlooking a garden, and having beautiful little Mt. Peg in the background. Since then, Zen Frog has shared her wisdom with Ann, who in turn shares it with you.
