Join us for a fabulous Sunday morning at one of the oldest all-women’s races in the country.
The BWC is committed to improving the quality of daily life of families engaged in gynecologic cancer treatment by providing direct services to women and their families. These services are provided through member hospitals and include transportation, grocery shopping and meal preparation, house cleaning and prescription drug co-payment.
The race is intended to celebrate life, fitness and the power that lies inside each woman to take control of her health.
This will be the fourth year WomanTalk Live has sponsored the Baltimore Women’s Classic 5K and we’re pulling our WomanTalk Live Goes for 5 Team together getting ready for the race coming up in June. Last year, over 3,000 women participated in the race! And, as part of our team, you can run, walk, skip or stroll – no pressure here!
If you need some motivation or some practice to get you in shape, the great training programs sponsored by the BWC will be starting the week of April 30th. Training classes are held in several locations in the area including Baltimore City, Ellicott City, Towson, Catonsville, Westminster and White Marsh. For more details on training, click here.

Women Entrepreneur’s Partnering for Profit (WEPP)
Embracing your network to expand your net worth
September 1, 2011 – August 31, 2012
WEPP is a 12-month program designed to support and promote the profitability of women entrepreneurs who are in their first five years of business and women who have been in business for over five years and are advocates for other women in business. This initiative provides value by means of “Partnership Clusters” – groups of earnest women entrepreneurs who possess an equal desire to grow, develop, and expand their profits through strategic partnerships. WEPP promotes an abundance mindset versus a scarcity mindset by linking women entrepreneurs who understand that exchange brings success.
WEPP will bridge the partnership & profit gap that so many women-owned businesses are missing. WEPP is specifically designed by a woman entrepreneur for women entrepreneurs to catapult profit earning potential by means of: (i) increased exposure and visibility, (ii) increased resources, (iii) increased sales; (iv) increased collaborations; and (v) increased access to expertise.
The WEPP program requires a level of commitment and service that only committed women entrepreneurs are willing to provide. There will be 50 approved participants as a part of the “Core Cluster” Group headquartered in the DC Metropolitan region. This will be an annual program.

Cancer Support Foundation, Inc.
Lifeline to Recovery
The Cancer Support Foundation, Inc. (CSFI), a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, provides quality-of-life help and services to cancer survivors and their caregivers. It was founded by two cancer survivors in 2005 and now has hundreds of volunteers. The mission of CSFI is to ensure that everyone undergoing cancer treatment in the State of Maryland is able to maintain stability in all areas of their lives.
