Often, as busy women, we feel the need to take care of everyone and everything else around us BEFORE we take care of ourselves. Overwhelm and stress set in and add to the fact that just the regular “maintenance” items we should be doing and the ongoing healthy lifestyle habits we want to adapt are not happening. And, guess what? We are teaching the young girls coming up behind us to do the same. After all, we – primarily, as moms or teachers or mentors – become their role models of how to do life. My guests this week discusssed what women need to do to put themselves at the top of the list and how that can translate to better health for the young girls who look to us for guidance. Good health – it’s a choice and one we want for ourselves and the young women following us.
Guests: Bonnie Phipps, President and CEO of Saint Agnes Health Care and Danita Terry, Director of Communications for Girls Scouts of Central Maryland
