We may not always live it every minute of our days, but if it’s on our radar screen, we’re getting closer, don’t you think? I know some people who say and do whatever they can thinking that’s authentic and they are just being who they are. But, often it’s not – and that saying and doing has another reason behind it – a cry for attention, a LOOK AT ME, a plea for validation. I think when we are authentic, that’s just it. We are totally comfortable in our own skin and there’s a sense of calm and peace that goes along with it. I’m certainly not always there, but I’m closer than I ever have been and I bet you are, too. Thank you for today’s post. Authenticity is my challenge. In the past, “flicking my switch” was routine. Just last night I hesitated in doing something and ultimately decided to hold back. Ironically I had sent out an e-mail earlier in the day to my First Friday women’s group with the subject title “Love or Fear.” It referenced several encouraging links on the current political discourse. Last night I chose fear and this morning I need to head back to the situation I avoided, coming from a place of love. Love or fear – listening to Marianne Williamson has brought that simple choice forward. Your posts consistently resonate. I see only love. Sharon
