“Another gorgeous spring day and a chance for you, Ann, to roam around the yard looking for buds on trees and any other signs of new life. Okay, so you aren’t happy about seeing that dang groundhog running around and making himself at home. And, you aren’t thrilled that the Orioles haven’t gotten it together yet during Spring Training. Hey – it’s Spring Training – a time for practicing their moves and seeing who has the right stuff for when it really counts. Quit looking at what those negative folks say on Facebook about your Birds. They gripe about everything.
So, my wisdom for you today, is to be content with life. Forget that groundhog for now. Stop focusing on the score in these practice games. Think about what you’re loving right now – spring weather (ok, so it’s supposed to snow, tomorrow – but, hey, you’ll love that, too!) The birds flocking to the feeders. The smell that yummy pork butt roast is making that’s going to turn into even yummier carnitas with all the Mexican fixings and good cold beer and some fun with friends coming over. Bob, Minkey and Weasel… need I say more? Focus on that good stuff and I promise you, the Orioles are going to win some games. Lots.”
“Be content with what you have;
Rejoice in the way things are.
When you realize there is nothing lacking,
The whole world belongs to you.”

In July 2015, Ann’s sister, Linda, came to visit her in Vermont. It just so happened that Zen Frog showed up on that very day, too. Zen Frog decided to stay and found a perfect guru spot on the deck surrounded by trees, overlooking a garden, and having beautiful little Mt. Peg in the background. Since then, Zen Frog has shared her wisdom with Ann, who in turn shares it with you.
