I love it that every year on the first Saturday of March, I can count on us kicking off Women’s History Month with all sorts of celebration. And, this past Saturday was no different. Joining me as my guests were two of my favorite people, and we talked about all things women – amazing history tidbits, the Maryland Women’s Hall of Fame inductions coming up soon, and about Jerdine’s incredible honor of having her first children’s novel, Eliza’s Freedom Road, being nominated for a 2011 NAACP Image Award. And, last but not least, I announced the 2012 WomanTalk Live Girl Gone, Rupini Shukla – a senior at Oakland Mills High School in Columbia, MD. Rupini carries on the tradition as another fabulous young woman making a huge difference in her community. Tune in and celebrate with us – women are so amazing.
Guests: Jill Moss Greenberg, Executive Director, The Maryland Women’s Heritage Center and Jerdine Nolen, award-winning children’s author
