To me, one of the most inspiring things is to be in the presence of a person who has found their passion and is passionate about what they do and how they are living their life.  And, even more inspiring, is when that person is a young person who is just starting to wake up to the power within herself.  Three women whose organizations, along with Talkradio 680 WCBM, made the scholarship dollars possible for this year’s Girl Gone Great Scholarship Essay Contest were in awe of the young woman who held our attention – Brooke Burghardt, the WomanTalk Live 2013 Girl Gone Great.  A senior at Mercy High School in Baltimore, Brooke has not only discovered the joy of giving back in her own local community, but she has also become an activist against human trafficking and a proponent for education for girls globally.  Want to be inspired?  Want to be assured that there are fabulous young women out there making a real difference?  Tune in.
