The Girl Scouts, recognizes the importance of mentorship – especially for girls as they make their way into the world, and for women, as more opportunities become available as the glass ceiling continues to crack. And, even though women acknowledge and understand the importance of mentoring, all women don’t have access to a mentor or don’t know how to go about being a mentor for another woman. Maria Johnson, the Vice President of Advancement for Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, and Barbara Portnoy, one of the Girls Scout’s 2011 Distinguished Women’s Award Honorees, and principal at PLDA, an interior design and interior architecture firm she established in 1998, joined me to talk about mentoring and the upcoming Distinguished Women’s Awards Reception.
Guests: Barbara Portnoy, Principal, PLDA and Maria Johnson, Vice President, Girl Scouts of Central Maryland
