Whenever Susan Bishop, the WomanTalk Live Creativity Expert, joins me in the studio… I just know she is going to have me thinking in a totally different way before we leave the studio that evening. Susan has a unique way of “creating” – especially at the beginning of a new year when so many of us are making long lists of resolutions that will most likely be flushed down the toilet by mid-February. She’s asking tough questions – or, maybe a better way to think about it is, questions that zero in on what you are really wanting to create and why you are wanting to…just what is it that you want to feel and realize within yourself as a result? When was the last time – if ever – that you thought about what your “theme” for the year was going to be? When have you thought about what your stake in the creation will be? And, if at the end of the year, you held an exhibition for all that you created – what would be in that exhibition? What will be your magnum opus for the year? A totally different way to look at creating and the old resolution-making that often gets us nowhere. So, tune in and get your creative juices going.
